Interview with myself Part 2/6

Continuing with the self-interview we have another brainstorming of thoughts.

WHEN? That’s just a fancy word for deadline…

“Time is a created thing. To say ‘I don’t have time,’ is like saying, ‘I don’t want to.”
― Lao Tzu

I always feel the When as the constant struggle against yourself. When are you going to do all the stuff that you don’t want to do?

For the study schedule, the when have to be every day. Being constant is the key for any success, it’s called the “grinding” for a reason.

The when is also talking about priorities and non-priorities. When is just a fancy word for deadline. Set yours and keep yourself accountable.

For me I have set a When, an encounter with the inevitable CCIE lab. That scary 8h test. The most expensive meal of your life. (lunch included in the exam fee, which is around 1500$ per lab exam try).

For what I´ve seen from others experience, you will never feel prepared.

The When can be flexible, but you need a deadline, I´ll set my When for my first lab try to be Q1 2022. This could change earlier or after depending on how I feel then and the pandemic.

Conclusion

When enough is enough?

Sometimes you just have to jump.
